Craft Time!

Here's the thing...I work from home and I have no friends here(except the ones I live with) SO I have nothing interesting to blog about so I am stealing Margaret's idea about posting about crafts and such. Here goes.

Since I have a ton of extra time on my hands Ive been spending far too much money at Michaels buying craft stuff. As you may know I am a Pinterest addict. I pretty much spend my work days searching for new craft ideas. I came across this one idea to make Flower poofs(That's the name I gave them) They are pretty simple to make and are super cute.

Supplies:
Styrofoam balls
Cupcake holders
Pins

Step One:

Put a pin through the center of your cupcake holder. I found that if you have a design on the outside you will want to flip it inside out.

Step Two:

Scrunch up the cupcake holder to look like so..

Step Three:

Push the pins into your Styrofoam ball...It takes some time and about 4-5 bunches of cupcake holders to so a medium size ball.

Done:

Sorry for the sideways picture....It wouldn't save correctly. You get the idea. I also bought some glitter spray paint and covered them in glitter!!

 Enjoy :)

Hello Juicing World

Hello Juicing World :)

A few months ago I watch a documentary on juicing called, Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. Its all about juice fasting for 10++ days. At the time I was very interested but never got around to buying a juicer. Until yesterday...I was voicing my weigh loss struggles on Facebook..when a friend reminded me about this documentary(Which is on Netflix btw). I decided to watch it again and decided at 8:30 last night that I was going to Walmart to get a juicer and some veggies. Right away I had to try out this fruit and veggie drink. It takes a few minutes to clean everything and cut it all up but I was pleasantly surprised at how "not terrible" it tasted.

Since I am all new to this I didnt want to go all out on a juicer so I looked online at Walmart and found a juicer for only $30!! Its a Black and Decker and had raving reviews! Now, once I get more into this Ill probably get a fancy shamcy one since they are bigger and easier. This works for the time being.

Aside from the juicer I had to get some veggies. I had looked online at some recipes and decided to start with the one from the documentary. Calls for: Kale, Granny Smith Apples, Cucumber, Celery, Lemon, and Ginger root. I realized this is going to cost me approx 15-20 bucks a day. Since I have tomorrow off I will be spending the day finding a farm stand so drop the price a bit.

All in all the drink isn't bad....I added a few ice cubes since its pretty warm once its made and its a lot easier to stomach if its cold. This morning I also added a few strawberries to sweeten it up a bit.

Can I retire yet??

So this blog was suppose to be alll about Teen Mom / 16 and Pregnant but I don't have all of my facts ready. I hope you are all ready for a pretty good (well thought out) rant :)

North Carolina..I have been here for one month and 7 days. Its pretty boring, I'm not gonna lie. Other than the friends that I live with...wait...there is no other than. Its really hard meeting new people while working from home. I'm sure ill figure it out.

So I am having a crisis with my dog..he has the worst separation anxiety that I have ever seen and nothing is working...I have tried everything I can think of and have read online and still...he barks like a mad man when I leave. This of course is driving the roomies crazy (totally understandable). Aside from barking, he never leaves my side. I walk into the bathroom and he sits at the door until I come out...I go into the kitchen/living room/ bedroom, he goes into the kitchen/ living room/ bedroom..I am out of ideas. Any suggestions?

This weekend we had a Superbowl party...Pats lost therefore the party was a bust ;) End of topic.

So today I work I got a written warning for not following a proper procedure...Now, this is just an idea but wouldn't you say that at least explaining to me what I did wrong before writing me up would be the best way to go?? Never once was I told I did something incorrectly...I did it only one time...and I got written up. Aside from this issue they also decided to include my attendance "issues" on the warning as well...now I did get a verbal warning in November...You might ask, "Amy, have you missed any time since you got the verbal warning?" Well, the answer here is no. I have not missed a single day since November..hm. My only thoughts are that my review is coming up...If I don't get my full raise due to this, I will understand the full meaning as to why I was written up. Hopefully this doesn't get me fired :)

www.bodyc.com Is my new favorite store down here!! Check it out.

BIGGEST LOSER UPDATE----I didn't lose any weight the last 2 weeks but I did lose 4.5 inches!! At least its something!!

No talk of men for 24 hours

I have been in North Carolina for a month now. I was suppose to have  date last night...however, he decided to cancel last minute. No biggie. I got 2 new pairs of shoes instead :) Who needs a man when you ca just get new shoes? I was talking to my aunt this afternoon..asked her that same question and her response was, "I guess that's why my shoe collection isn't as big as I would like, since Ive been married for 25 years" So new goal..build up my shoe collection, to what I can consider to be enough shoes...then settle down. All on my terms of course. Ha. So Chrissy and I have decided unless we are talking about Pauly D, there will be no talk of men for 24 hours. NC is not treating us well in the man department. Better luck next time, I say.

Shoes Chrissy bought me:

Shoes I bought for myself:

I'm in love <3

I woke up this morning to Chrissy telling me we are going to Raleigh...We had to go to get her new phone at Apple....Let me tell you..we called ahead of time an made an appointment and SILL stood around waiting for some help for OVER and hour. I couldn't believe it. However, I did find out that I am getting an iPhone 3G for free sooo I will be entering the world of Apple.

We got home around 4:30, to find I had a package, which contained none other than the Brazil Butt Lift!! It feels like Christmas :) I did one 35 minute workout this afternoon and thought I was gonna pass out!! I took all my measurements which I will not be sharing with the public any time soon. Maybe once I reach my weight loss goal.

Thank you Helen, (www.HelenTheFabulous.blogspot.com) For suggesting www.birchbox.com. Unfortunately, there is a waiting list so as soon as I am accepted and get my first monthly shipment I will be sure to share. They send you a box of 4-5 cosmetic samples for $10.00 a month. Perfect!

I am currently on a search for a new silver sparkly make-up bag. Any and all suggestions are welcome!

FWB...Really??

So I have to say that meeting men online is pretty interesting. As I mentioned in my last post I came across a guy who claimed to be in the"Adult Film Industry" and today I get a message asking, "Would you be interested in a FWB relationship with a married guy?" REALLY? My response to him was.."The only interest I would have would be to find your poor wife." Its men like this who make finding the right one so difficult. A lot of people out there "deal" with things their partners do. Why settle? Is this why I am still single because I don't "deal" with my boyfriend being an alcoholic / drug addict, someone who is verbally / mentally abusive or someone who cheats on me? Well so be it. My feeling is have some respect for yourself and find someone who is going to treat you like you should be treated. If you want to cheat...then you deserve someone who is going to cheat on you. Bottom line...I'm going to end there before I start getting too specific :)

On a lighter note, I have been talking to this guy for a few days now..He is in the Army and seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He asked me out to dinner the other night but unfortunately I was working. Now he knows my schedule so I am hoping for an invite this weekend :)

Miss Chris and I have decided to order the Brazil Butt Lift...More to come on the results!

Ive been watching Sex and the City like its my job. It just happens that the episode on now is about how Stanford(Rick 9+) has been talking to men on the internet and thinks its a huge deal...oh how things have changed.

Gooo Patriots!!

I cannot wait to see this in a few weeks :) Gooo Patriots!

Game time at 3:00!!

Had a pretty busy weekend. Dino got fixed on Monday and had some complicatons on Friday/Saturday. He had a high fever and a bad infection. The vet gave him an antibiotic shot and some meds to take home. He is already looking much better and is starting to get his swagger back.

I have been in NC for 23 days and am starting to miss my friends and family. I called my mom yesterday and much to my surprise I ended up speaking to my nieces, Lillian and Zoe. These girls are my life and its been really hard being aaway from them.

So I have met a few more friends this weekend. Lauren who works at Express with Chrissy is amazing! She is a Patriots fan and is the only person I have met down here that is! I have someone to watch the game with me today!! Woo :) I also met this guy..really cute, seemed pretty nice..then he tells me he works in the adult film industry!! Really?? He has been in a few films...and thats where I draw the line. Sorry dude.

Lastly..Ive been told to check out http://www.pinterest.com/ but I just cant get into it. However, Margaret sent me a link today and says, "i think those shoes were made for you lol"  and I agree. What do you think?

The Biggest Loser ++

Good Morning :)

According to HR, we have lost over 122 lbs and there are still people that still need to weigh in. I sent in my weight this morning and am down to 144lb...Down 6 lbs from 2 weeks ago!! Hopefully this enough to win this week’s $50 prize J

Tips:

Protein is key. – I have been drinking protein shakes regularly (3-4 per day) some shakes taste a lot better than others. Also, you want to make sure you get the one with the lowest calories while having the highest percentage of protein. The brand I have been using, Body Fortress, per serving has 140 calories and 26g protein. The chocolate tastes delicious..sorry I haven’t tried the others.

Exercise:

I am starting slow…and I am new to this area so I don’t go out walking/jogging alone. I have been using the WII Fit Plus and WII Zumba. WII Fit is fun but its not much of a work out unless you do the hoola-hooping or the running..The WII Zumba I would suggest to anyone. I have done classes in the past and this is exactly the same! I get a great workout from the 20 minute session, and will be moving up soon.

In other news...

Patriots vs. Ravens Sunday 1/22/12 @ 3:00

Goooo Pats! I'm super happy that we made it this far and I truely believe we can go all the way!! I got my jersey ready to go for Sunday :) I do want to say that I am very disappointed in the Packers loss...The Pats are my team but I am a Packers fan all the same. Aaron Rodgers is also my future husband so I feel bad ;)

I want to thank Margaret for introducing me to http://www.shoedazzle.com/ ! It is amazing! Every pair of shoes is $39.99, plus your first order gets 20% off! I have found the first pair I will be purchasing with that lovely incentive. The website has a "Dazzle Deal" You have a certain amount of time every day to get an item at a crazy discount...who doesnt love to save money??

Happy Friday :)
